Medicover is the largest private sector employer of healthcare staff in Central-Eastern Europe. In 1995, 70 professionals were employed at Medicover. In 2015, Medicover Group employs more than 11,000 people.

The multi-cultural identity of the Medicover Group of Companies includes employees across 13 countries of Central & Eastern Europe, Germany, Turkey, Sweden and the UK. In terms of nationality we also have employees from the US, Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Hungary and Czech Republic.

Overall, around 80 percent of the employees are female. Moreover, around 80 percent of our staff is medical service-related personnel (doctors, nurses, laboratory techniciansand medical admin staff) and 20 percent office-related staff.

In terms of education, 50 percent of our staff have university degree and 30 percent of them have postgraduate qualifications.

We put emphasis on continuous education and development, an example of which is our Group Talent Programme.

The Group Talent Program was launched in the Medicover Group in September 2013. It is composed of two programs: the Leadership Development Program and the Emerging Leader Program.

The aim of the Group Development Program is to develop internally Leadership and Leaders who can develop and realize the Long Term Vision of the Medicover Group of Companies.

Under the sponsorship and guidance of our CEO, Fredrik Rågmark , the definition of ‘Talent’ within Medicover was created:

Talent at Medicover is defined as “those people who have the right value set in line with our Medicover Values, with a track record of commitment and contribution to the organization and the willingness & drive to develop their leadership competencies, with the mental agility to adapt to change”.

The Roffey Park Business School has been selected as Medicover’s Partner of the Program. Founded in 1946, Roffey Park is a management and leadership institute widely recognized for its expertise and experience in providing high impact personal development programs that transform individuals and organizations – improving the well-being and performance of both.

So far, 55 employees have taken part in the Program.

Healthy Medicover Teams

 

A phrase Caring for your health is all we do promoted by Medicover Group of Companies is not just a meaningless plaque on the wall. It has become ingrained in our day-to-day activities related to the business but not only. Our colleagues are great healthy lifestyle ambassadors at work and after hours as well. Be it Poland or Romania, they gather together, exercise and take part in numerous sport initiatives.

On the occasion of its 20th Anniversary, Medicover Group organises a special running event. In four European cities (Brussels, Bucharest, Kiev and Warsaw), a group of our colleagues run in 20km races to raise money for the Medicover Foundation. Medicover can be also proud of its cyclists – the third edition of the Medicover Bike Ride organized by the Medicover Foundation has just taken place. In one week, nine volunteers rode 1000 km, from south Poland (Zakopane) to Stockholm (Sweden), passing through “Blue Towns” promoting the prevention of diabetes among local communities.
