The event was attended by more than 80 participants from professional public. During the day the day the participants could attend seminars and workshops and, above all, a brochure „Safe Home“, was introduced. It will be distributed in 100 000 copies to families with kids.

The whole program was commenced by the foreword of Her Majesty-Ambassador of Sweden Ms. Catherine von Heidenstam and Medicover was represented by the General Manager Marcel Toporčák.

During the morning the participants could enjoy interesting presentations from the area of children safety and prevention of injuries. One of the main participants was Ms. Ulla Stalbo, the former director of Consumer Protection Organization in Sweden, and shared with us her many experience in the area of prevention of children injuries. Thanks to this fact Sweden is at the moment the country with the lowest children death toll resulting from accidents and injuries.

On behalf of Medicover Dr.Tomáš Holohlavský gave a very interesting and a practical lecture on First Aid Provision. The company Hags introduced its concept of safe children playgrounds and apart from that, the participants could learn about IKEA products designed for safe children home.

Children traffic safety was covered by the presentation of the Road Safety Department (BESIP) of Ministry of Transport. The successful Czech projects in this area were also introduced by the representatives of non-governmental organizations i.e. "Childhood Without Injury" and "Prague mothers". The participants had a chance to find valuable information concerning prevention of injuries in the Czech Republic presented by Dr. Veronika Benešová from the "Centre of Prevention of Injuries".

The afternoon session consisted of blocks of workshops. Medicover prepared for those interested theoretical seminars followed by practical training on fist aid provision. We were very pleased by the interest in our workshops and positive feedback of the participants. They had an opportunity to try that everybody can help to save life by proper immediate provision of first aid. The project will now continue by preparation for a big „ Family weekend“, which will take place from 13. to 14.6. in the shopping centre Metropole Zličín.
