You can adjust your Individual Medicover Medical Insurance to your requirements in terms of the premium paid through a convenient system of co-payments and down payments. This is a unique solution on the Polish medical insurance market!
We are offering four co-payment levels for outpatient services: 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%.
Co-payment applies to all consultations and selected diagnostic procedures. For instance, if you choose the option of 20% co-payment, at each appointment at a Medicover Centre you are paying 20% of its price.
When you choose the co-payment option, your fee is lower.

If you have chosen the Hospital Care option with co-payment, additionally you have got two options of down payment:
- for 20% and 40% co-payments, the down payment is 500,00 PLN,
- for 60% and 80% co-payments, the down payment is 1.000,00 PLN.
The down payment is collected at each hospitalisation.

The Hospital Care option with co-payment – your profit is up to 58%.
Example:
Mr Kowalski, aged 34, is considering the purchase of Medicover Medical Insurance for himself and his wife. He is interested in the Specialist Care for himself, and the Hospital Care for his wife.
The prices of insurance premiums for Specialist Care are as follows:
Mr Kowalski decided to participate in the Specialist Care programme with 20% co-payment. As a consequence, his monthly premium is 86,00 PLN instead of 134,00 PLN (the full insurance cost). Therefore, Mr Kowalski gains 48,00 PLN each month.
When Mr Kowalski has an appointment with a cardiologist at a Medicover Centre in Warszawa, and the appointment price being 160,00 PLN, Mr Kowalski will pay 32,00 PLN for his appointment (160 PLN x 20% = 32 PLN).
For his wife, Mr Kowalski has chosen the Hospital Care programme with 40% co-payment. When the contract was signed, it has turned out that Ms Kowalska needs a varicose vein surgery. The cost of this procedure at the Medicover Hospital is 4.000,00 PLN. Due to the insurance programme, Ms Kowalska will cover only part of hospitalisation costs, i.e. the down payment of 500,00 PLN. The remaining costs are covered by the Insurer.
