Medicover started the New Year with product expansion

Actualized 2012-01-27

Medicover started the New Year with the expansion of its product range, by introducing two new proposals for its customers.  The first of them is “Standard Family Care” providing everyday medical care and access to specialists at an affordable price for the whole family.  The second is  the offer of medical care for small and medium-sized companies. These actions are a continuation of the policy which was initiated last year when Medicover launched packages for people aged over 65 years, and the first insurance for the youngest children on the Polish market.

The offer for small and medium-sized companies arose on the basis of an analysis of the needs of this segment of entrepreneurs and their employees already using the services, as well as Medicover’s knowledge and long-term experience in the management of the health of almost 500,000 patients.  The proposal consists of five key programmes: Plus, Specialist, Specialist Plus, Hospital, and Platinum.  The novelty is three programmes available in the Standard Programme which have been supplemented with limits on medical consultations specified at the level of their average use in the population and significant discounts – instead of free access – for selected diagnostic tests and outpatient surgery. Such mechanisms enable the package price to be significantly reduced but simultaneously enable companies to benefit from more extensive health care programmes which would normally be a too heavy financial burden.

-          Standard Family Care” is a proposal addressed to a specific group from the segment of individual customers - families.  The new offer enables the whole family, regardless of the size, to access everyday medical care and selected specialists for a fixed monthly fee of PLN 195.

In the opinion of John Stubbington, Operations Director of the Medicover Group, the company is close to increasing sales to individuals by 100% (as announced last year), and is planning further rapid growth in the corporate business segment in the regions, among others.

-          We want to double sales of services addressed to individual customers each year until 2015.  In addition to innovations in our range, we are continuously expanding our distribution.  New sales staff are being regularly recruited by Medicover, both in Warsaw and several other large cities of Poland.  We are also expanding sales in the “direct” channel - both through the Internet and by telephone.  We are in the process of finalising a contract with one of the major banks through which we shall be selling our services”, says John Stubbington, Operations Director at the Medicover Group.

In terms of the segment of firms and companies, Medicover is announcing the activation of sales throughout the country and the continuation of investments in the medical infrastructure.

-          “We want to reach small and medium-sized companies, all places with a demand for our services, even more effectively than to date - and this means significantly greater activity even outside Warsaw and several major cities in which we are present. In this business segment we have started to build a “direct” sales channel, too. We shall consistently promote our skills in the area of employee health management, as we have been doing so far” adds John Stubbington.
