Medicover for small and medium-sized companies – new offer
Actualized 2012-01-27
Medicover, a market leader in health care and long-term expert in employee health management, launched a new offer in January addressed to small and medium-sized companies. It comprises five key programmes providing medical care to the company - from Occupational Medicine and basic health care, through specialist care and advanced diagnosis, to hospital treatment. The new offer is a response to the expectations and needs of smaller companies throughout Poland, for which comprehensive, high-quality care, which can be obtained quickly without unnecessary formalities, is important.
The offer consists of five key programmes: Plus, Specialist, Specialist Plus, Hospital, and Platinum, which may be expanded with additional options which enable employees to benefit from additional services, such as dentistry care, emergency ambulance service and medical transportation. The first three programmes are available within the standard options which ensure the same quality of medical care provided as the basic programmes, but on more attractively priced terms.
- ”The option to conclude a contract using the so-called standard options is a unique solution on the Polish market. It introduces limits on doctors’ consultations and significant discounts – instead of free access - for selected diagnostic tests and outpatient surgery. As a result, a company can benefit from the same, more comprehensive (in terms of the scope of benefits) health care programmes, but pays a much lower price for them. These limits are specified at the level of the average use of the medical services,” says John Stubbington, Chief Operations Officer of the Medicover Group.
The new offer arose on the basis of a detailed analysis of the needs of entrepreneurs and their employees. Consideration was primarily given to the SME business segment, but Medicover also benefited from its long-term experience in health care management of a population of almost 500,000 patients. Ready solutions also take into account such factors as the age structure of the community of employees, the type of work performed and the risks related to a particular occupation.
- “The segment of small and medium-sized companies represents almost 70% of all firms operating in Poland and generates more than half the GDP, of a value of more than 700 billion zlotys. Making it easier to conduct such business, including the short time required for dealing with necessary formalities, are issues to which small and medium businesses pay attention. In view of this, we have created a ready-made high-quality health care proposal, which is tailored to the needs of the customer, which the owner of the firm may decide to buy as early as at his first meeting with the Medicover representative,” adds John Stubbington.
The Medicover adviser helps to choose the programme, ensures that the agreement is concluded correctly and handles the ongoing coordination of the cooperation. It will also soon be possible to conclude an agreement by telephone or over the Internet.
