The participation of an Occupational Medicine specialist in the work of OSH Commissions
The Employer must appoint the Occupational Safety and Health Commission (Labour Code, Chapter XI).
In accordance with the Labour Code, employers with more than 250 employees have this obligation. The Commission is a consultative and advisory body for working environment issues.
The Commission’s tasks include:
- reviewing working conditions,
- periodically assessing the status of occupational health and safety,
- giving opinions on measures to prevent accidents at work and occupational diseases, implemented by the employer,
- formulating conclusions concerning the improvement of working conditions,
- cooperating with the employer in the performance of occupational health and safety obligations.
Please phone the Occupational Medicine coordinator who will appoint a doctor to participate in the work of your OSH Commission.
