128-slice CT scanner

128-slice CT scanner (Somatom Definition AS+), offering non-invasive oncological diagnostics and cardiological tests, draws upon a number of the most modern and unique technological achievements.

It enables to perform, among others, angiography tests (including spatial tests such as virtual coronarography) with unique precision and speed, at the same time ensuring minimal radiation doses.

Thanks to a special system, the machine reduces the radiation doses administered to the patient, which consequently eliminates direct radiation exposure of  the body areas that are not to be visualized.

The application of the Adaptive 4D Spiral technique, on the other hand, enables dynamic vessel scanning and whole-organ perfusion imaging (e.g. coronary catheterization irrespective of the heart rate).

The machine is equipped with a set of medical stations supporting the diagnostic process and the most modern medical applications aimed at helping diagnosticians in all medical areas, e.g. neurology, oncology, cardiology. In order to ensure better flexibility of the system, the machine has also got medical consoles that make it possible to work from any place with the Internet connection, which enables remote consultations or presentations.
