Dorota Wojciechowska-Kumelowska, MD completed medical studies and obtained the degree of specialization in anesthesiology and intensive care at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences. She also defended her PhD thesis there. She has been particularly interested in subjects related to intensive care and anesthesia in pediatric cardiac surgery. 

She is an author of numerous publications concerning, among others, the treatment of pain in obstetrics. She had spent many years working abroad – at the University of Amiens in France, in hospitals in Great Britain and in Holland, where she lived and worked for the last ten years. In 2000, she was entered into the register of the Royal Dutch Medical Association as a specialist-anesthetist. In the spring 2009, she completed two-year postgraduate studies in the area of pain medicine at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her great medical passion is not only treating post-operative and labor pain but also arranging the highest-quality chronic pain clinic.
