Minimally invasive surgery is the new method of performing surgeries and procedures using image transmission from the interior of the patient’s body. It is widely used by our specialists, as it allows faster performance of surgeries and reduces the level of interference and the stress of surgery.

Endoscopic procedures performed at the Surgery Clinic are associated with many benefits for the patient, as they help to:

  • decrease postoperative pain,
  • reduce infection risks,
  • minimise blood losses,
  • leave small postoperative scars.

These procedures allow the patient to recover and return to everyday activities faster.

Operating with the use of minimally invasive techniques has an additional important advantage: it allows to perform many procedures as single-day surgeries. It means that our patients are hospitalised for one day only. This solution minimises the time spent at the hospital to the necessary minimum, and significantly reduces the stress of surgery.

As part of endoscopic surgeries, we perform the following procedures:

For minimally invasive surgeries, we also use medical lasers. They allow to treat extremity varicose veins, haemorrhoids, lumbar discopathy and other pathological conditions.

Vascular surgery

Vascular surgery is a surgical treatment of blood and lymphatic vessels. At the Medicover Hospital, we perform complex treatment of the following diseases:

Postoperative care

Each patient of the Surgery Clinic is being provided with continuous, professional and coordinated postoperative care. Right after the surgery (for the first 2-3 hours), the patients stay in the recovery room – under continuous specialist care of a surgeon and an anaesthesiologist, as well as intensive nursing care. If any patient’s condition requires further stabilisation in the postoperative period, s/he will stay under continuous care of anaesthesiologists and surgeons at the Intensive Care Unit.

Further postoperative treatment may be conducted in intensive care rooms or comfortable regular rooms.

The Painless Hospital

We strive to make sure that the surgeries and procedures performed at the Medicover Hospital to be safe and professional, and guarantee optimal patient comfort.

Our aspirations have been honoured with a prestigious certificate "Painless Hospital". The award of Polish Pain Society is an objective confirmation that relieving postoperative pain the Medicover Hospital really contributes to the improvement of patient comfort.

The "Painless Hospital" Certificate is a great honour and a proof of acknowledgement for our facility. With this certificate we have joined a narrow circle of distinguished Polish hospitals which are the most successful in relieving their patients’ pain.
