Before the admission

Before the admission to the Medicover Hospital

Patients interested in undergoing treatment in the Medicover Hospital are offered qualification visits in the Consulting Center in the Hospital.
A qualifying referral issued by the entitled doctor from the Center constitutes the basis for the admission to the Medicover Hospital. During a qualification visit in the Consulting Center, the doctor analyzes patient’s condition, informs him/her about treatment methods and potential risks resulting from the treatment. The doctor decides together with the patient on necessary diagnostic tests, procedures and the course of hospitalization.

Contract conclusion

Before the patient is admitted to the Medicover Hospital, the hospital care coordinator explains terms of admission, conditions of the hospital stay and terms of payment. The coordinator also presents the offer of additional services provided by the Medicover Hospital.

The contract concluded between the patient and the Medicover Hospital is based on the above-mentioned qualification referral which includes the information on agreed medical procedures as well as doctor’s instructions concerning the hospitalization. The referral is necessary in order to conclude the contract and arrange the hospital stay.

Upon receiving the referral, it is worth meeting the hospital care coordinator who gives the patient all important information, sets the hospitalization dates, explains financial aspects and answers any questions.

The hospital care coordinator is obliged to familiarize the patient with terms and conditions of the contract.

After signing the contract the patient should make an advance payment no later than three days before the hospitalization.
