The benefit of the method consists in low temperature of coagulation, decreasing the risk of burns in the surrounding tissues. The procedure takes around ten minutes and it is performed with the use of epidural or local anaesthesia. This method helps to avoid standard surgery with the removal of the whole great saphenous vein and bad-looking scar in the groin. The patient should not sunbathe or use sunbeds for a month after the procedure. The patient should also not warm up her legs, e.g., during hot baths or in a sauna. In this period, it is advised to wear compression stockings which increase permanence and secure the attained cosmetic effect.
