The Medicover Foundation was established in 2007, in order to fulfill the Medicover's social mission which is to convince children, young people and adults that by making the right choices on a daily basis, they can make a real impact on their physical and mental well-being.

The Foundation relies on the vast medical experience of Medicover to design and implement its activities, all of which aim to improve the health and increase the awareness of people in the communities it serves.

Disease prevention

PoZdro! Programme is a unique answer to the growing problem of diabetes and one of the largest programmes of its kind in Europe.

The Programme, run by the Medicover Foundation, is a six year nationwide programme for the prevention of type 2 diabetes and other lifestyle diseases in Poland.

PoZdro! Programme

The PoZdro! Programme is aimed at 12-13 year olds and screening 30,000 junior high school students in four major Polish cities. Those found to be already at risk of lifestyle diseases are offered a 2-year specialist programmeto teach them to better care for their health and to help them change their eating habits and lifestyle. The programme aims to help around 1,500 children with, among other things, decreasing their BMI and improving their body composition.
